Senior Clinician - Ballarat

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, experienced senior clinician to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV).

About the role

Reporting to Centre Manager, your responsibilities include direct client counselling to individuals, couples and families, as well as providing individual and group clinical supervision to employees, making professional judgements, offering feedback, support and challenging staff to ensure continuous improvement. In doing so, you will assist to provide effective and efficient high-quality services and programs in alignment with RAV’s contractual obligations and strategic direction.

This role is located in Ballarat and is a permanent, part-time position working four (4) days per week including every Thursday 1pm to 9pm. The salary range is $112k-$115k (pro-rata) per annum. 

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in psychology, social work, or occupational therapy with further graduate qualifications in mental health, family violence, counselling and family therapy. 
  • Five (5) years’ experience undertaking clinical supervision in a similar working environment, supervising/leading a clinical team.
  • Highly developed and demonstrated communication skills, with a particular emphasis on providing constructive and proactive feedback in relation to contemporary practice and improvement.
  • Sound judgement and problem-solving skills, an ability to contribute to the planning and development of the service and a capacity to manage change.
  • Experience in working with family violence, mental health, child protection and relevant service sectors.
  • Eligibility for membership of a professional body (APS), AASW or appropriate organisation) is highly desirable.
