What You'll Do:

  • Lead our safety initiatives, driving continuous improvement in workplace health and safety practices.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to develop and implement safety strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and audits, identifying WHS risks and implementing robust controls.
  • Ensure organisation specific WHS legislative requirements are met and maintained.
  • Conduct incident and injury investigations and proactively implement corrective and preventive measures.
  • Work with managers to improve comprehension of work health and safety requirements across teams and develop training packages.
  • Work with managers to identify suitable WHS KPIs (lead and lag) for their programs.
  • Report into the parent company WHS Manager from PeopleKind Group for technical and capacity support.

A few quick ticks from you: 

  • Minimum Cert IV or higher qualification in Workplace Health and Safety.
  • You have valid full working rights in Australia
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence 
  • NDIS Screening Check (or be willing to obtain)
  • Human services sector experience desirable but not essential
