The role

The Learning & Development Coordinator provides assistance in developing, administering, coordinating and evaluating Learning and development programs for Nulsen Disability Services.  The purpose of this position is to identify the training needs of the organisation and provide high quality programs that meet the needs of the individuals and empower staff to contribute to an enhanced quality of life for service users.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Works collaboratively with the Manager, People & Culture to develop and review Nulsen's learning and development strategy
  • Provides assistance in the development and review of Nulsen's policies and procedures related to Learning and Development
  • Designs, implements and evaluates a range of in-house learning and development initiatives and programs that meet identified needs of staff as well as Nulsen's objectives and the Nulsen Way
  • Works collaboratively with the Trainers and Assessors to develop appropriate, relevant and compliant training
  • Efficiently administers training and assessments records and the systems to maintain accurate and up to date training information
  • Ensures that all training activities and statutory licensing requirements (CPI) are accurately recorded and reported on in a timely manner
  • Routinely prepare training reports by collecting and collating relevant statistics data
  • Ensure all learning and development activities are carried out within the allocated budget and timeframe.

Essential Criteria:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Considerable knowledge and experience in a senior training and development role, preferably in a disability services environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to develop good working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in developing, facilitating and evaluating training programs
  • Strong organisational skills to coordinate all Learning and Development activities
  • Strong written and analysis skills including development of training programs and producing a range of reports
  • Awareness of and understanding of the National Standards for Disability Services, and industry requirements

Desirable Criteria:

  • Knowledge and experience of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training programs
